Finance Minister Announces Release of 500 Billion Dinars to Farmers


Baghdad: Finance Minister Faleh Sari announced on Sunday the release of 500 billion dinars in outstanding payments to farmers during September. Sari stated in a press release, “As part of the Ministry’s procedures to settle the state’s financial obligations to the agricultural sector, 500 billion dinars have been released to farmers this September.”



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Sari added, “The Ministry is continuing to complete the procedures for paying farmers’ dues in the coming months, aiming to settle all outstanding payments according to established financial procedures.” He emphasized the importance of the agricultural sector and the role of farmers in supporting local production and enhancing food security, affirming the Ministry of Finance’s commitment to securing the necessary financial resources for the continuation of agricultural activity and enabling farmers to continue their work.



He explained that these measures are part of addressing the agricultural sector’s outstanding payments and regulating their disbursement, ensuring the continued funding required for the agricultural season and supporting the stability of agricultural activity in the country.
