Baghdad: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 140 Ukrainian drones over a 12-hour period in the airspace of several Russian regions.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry stated that the operation took place on September 13 between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM Moscow time. The airspace involved included Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, Rostov, the Republic of Crimea, and the Black Sea.
The ministry highlighted those Ukrainian forces target Russian border areas, civilian and industrial facilities, and energy infrastructure daily with drones and missiles. In response, Moscow asserts that it strikes Ukrainian military infrastructure, weapons depots, equipment repair and manufacturing workshops, and troop concentrations.
