Baghdad: The spokesperson for the Iraqi government, Haider Al-Aboudi, announced today that a government delegation headed by Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi is embarking on an official visit to France and Germany. According to Iraqi News Agency, the visit to France will include the signing of several memoranda of understanding across eight fields.

Al-Aboudi revealed that the European tour will commence in Paris, where Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi is scheduled to engage in joint talks with French President Emmanuel Macron. The discussions will focus on exploring prospects for bilateral relations between Iraq and France and identifying methods to advance these relations.

The visit will see the signing of agreements in various sectors, including investment, energy, industry, trade, technology, education, culture, and infrastructure. These agreements are anticipated to bolster cooperation and development between the two nations.

Following the events in France, Prime Minister Al-Zaidi will travel to Berlin. The objective of the visit to Germany is to expand Iraq’s strategic partnerships, translating its international relations into tangible interests, opportunities, and partnerships that will enhance the nation’s economy and development.
