Baghdad Operations Commander Directs Law Enforcement Command to Enhance Preparedness

Baghdad: Baghdad Operations Commander Major General Hadi Al-Kinani on Sunday directed the need to complete all requirements for preparedness and readiness.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Baghdad Operations Command issued a statement noting that Major General Hadi Al-Kinani, alongside his deputy for internal affairs and several staff officers, visited the headquarters of the Law Enforcement Command. During the visit, they were briefed by the Law Enforcement Commander and other unit commanders on the command’s responsibilities and the deployment of its units.

The operations commander acknowledged the contribution of Law Enforcement units in ensuring the security of peaceful demonstrations across the capital. These units have been crucial in safeguarding public facilities and property, managing traffic flow, and preventing road disruptions. The statement highlighted the importance of sustaining high levels of cooperation and coordination with area-specific units.

Major General Al-Kinani emphasized the necessity to complete all readiness requirements based on specialization. He stressed the importance of ongoing training and the delivery of educational lectures focusing on rules of engagement and human rights. These measures are intended to ensure the secure handling of demonstrations and sit-ins involving various societal groups.
