Baghdad: Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein engaged in discussions with his Emirati counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, focusing on Iraqi-Gulf relations and regional developments.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ media center released a statement indicating that Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received a phone call from UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The conversation centered on bilateral relations between the two nations and explored avenues to enhance and strengthen joint cooperation.

The statement highlighted that both ministers addressed recent security developments in the region, with a particular focus on the situation in Yemen. The discussions underscored the significance of reinforcing Iraqi-Gulf relations to support regional security and stability.

Further, the statement elaborated on Fuad Hussein’s review of the Iraqi government’s policy, under Prime Minister Ali Mohsen Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, concerning regional security issues. Hussein reaffirmed Iraq’s dedication to fostering stability and prioritizing dialogue.
