Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced a series of strikes on Ukrainian ports, ships, and trains, marking an escalation in the ongoing conflict. The ministry disclosed that a cargo ship in the port of Odessa and railway facilities in western Ukraine were among the targets. These facilities are reportedly used for the transportation of military supplies from European countries to support Ukraine’s armed forces.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry reported that Russian armed forces carried out strikes on Ukrainian ports and ships that serve the Ukrainian military. The ministry emphasized that drone attacks on the port of Odessa damaged a dry cargo ship, which had recently unloaded supplies intended for Ukrainian forces.

Additionally, the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed airstrikes on trains and military transport convoys in several regions, including Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Mykolaiv, and Odessa. The ministry stated that since mid-July, Russian forces have been consistently targeting industrial and transport assets, ships, and storage facilities that support Ukrainian military operations.

The ministry reiterated that these actions are part of a strategy to target infrastructure utilized by the Ukrainian armed forces, aiming to diminish Ukraine’s military capabilities.
