3.4 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Contra Costa County, California


Contra costa county: An earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale struck the US state of California, specifically in Contra Costa County, on Sunday night. The U.S. Geological Survey indicated that the earthquake’s epicenter was located approximately 5.5 miles southwest of Brentwood at around 12:30 a.m.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the quake was recorded at a depth of about 11 miles. Despite the relatively low magnitude, residents in areas far from the epicenter reported feeling the tremor. KRON 4 reported that there have been no injuries or damage reported so far following the earthquake.
