Baghdad: The President of the Republic, Nizar Amidi, emphasized the importance of establishing values of citizenship and brotherhood among the country’s various components to bolster stability and confront challenges. The statement was made during a meeting with Rayan al-Kildani, head of the Babylon Movement, in Baghdad.
According to Iraqi News Agency, the Media Office of the Presidency of the Republic released a statement highlighting the President’s discussions with al-Kildani. The meeting focused on the current situation and developments within the country. President Amidi stressed the importance of supporting the government in implementing its program and backing efforts to achieve its priorities, which would contribute to advancing reform and development paths and improving the quality of services provided to citizens.
The President underscored the necessity of consolidating civil and social coexistence, as well as establishing values of citizenship and brotherhood among the various components of the Iraqi people. This approach, he noted, would strengthen stability and help face challenges.
In response, al-Kildani appreciated the meeting with the President and praised the significant role played by the Presidency of the Republic in fostering civil and social coexistence. He also expressed his support for efforts aimed at continuing the process of building the state and its institutions.
