Hagopian Assumes Role as Iraq’s Ambassador to United States


Washington: Ambassador Krikor Der Hagopian presented his credentials today, Thursday, to U.S. President Donald Trump as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iraq to the United States, during an official ceremony at the White House.



According to Iraqi News Agency, the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in the United States announced that Ambassador Krikor Der Hagopian officially assumed his role by presenting his credentials to President Trump during the ceremony. The statement highlighted the ambassador’s commitment to his new role and the significance of his appointment.



The statement from the embassy noted that Ambassador Hagopian conveyed greetings from the Iraqi government and expressed his pride in being appointed to this important diplomatic position. He emphasized his mission’s priorities, which include building on the outcomes of the Prime Minister’s recent visit to the United States.
