Baghdad: Thaer Al-Ghanimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Iraqi Media Network (IMN), affirmed on Sunday Iraq’s commitment to maintaining an active and consistent presence in international and Arab media forums.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Al-Ghanimi emphasized Iraq’s keenness to participate effectively and continuously in these media gatherings. He added that this year’s meeting takes place during a critical period marked by rapidly evolving challenges across the Arab region, necessitating that the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) diversify its tools and enhance its media capabilities to keep pace with these challenges and transformations.

The 115th session of the ASBU Executive Council began on Sunday, with the participation of an Iraqi delegation led by Thaer Al-Ghanimi. The meeting addressed various media-related issues and files, spanning radio and television programming, engineering, and new media, as well as preparations for the Arab Radio and Television Festival, which is being held this year under the theme The Pulse of the Image and the Echo of the Future.
