Kuwait: The General Directorate of Narcotics Affairs announced the thwarting of an attempt to smuggle 700,000 Captagon pills from Iraq to Kuwait and the arrest of two suspects.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate reported that, through cross-border intelligence efforts, Anbar narcotics units deployed to the State of Kuwait. In cooperation with Kuwait’s General Administration for Drug Control, they succeeded in thwarting the smuggling attempt and arresting two suspects: one an Iraqi national and the other an illegal resident living in the “livestock pens” area of Kuwait.
