New york: Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi is set to depart for New York within the coming hours, leading a high-level government delegation to participate in the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Abdul-Zahra Al-Hindawi, Director of the Prime Minister’s Media Office, stated to the semi-official *Al-Sabah* newspaper that Prime Minister Al-Zaidi will deliver Iraq’s address to the General Assembly. The speech will outline Baghdad’s vision and positions regarding regional and international developments, as well as issues concerning security, stability, development, and international cooperation.

Al-Hindawi added that the visit’s agenda includes a series of bilateral meetings and discussions with leaders and heads of state from Arab and foreign nations to advance shared interests. The visit will also feature participation in economic events and meetings with representatives of major corporations, business leaders, and investors. He emphasized that these activities would help strengthen Iraq’s presence in international forums and expand the horizons of economic and investment partnerships, thereby supporting the country’s development and reconstruction efforts.

For his part, the official government spokesman, Dr. Haider Al-Aboudi, indicated in an interview with Al-Iraqiya News Channel that the Prime Minister’s visit schedule to the United States would include a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump and other heads of state, as well as attendance at a U.S. Chamber of Commerce meeting to sustain and develop economic and trade relations between the two countries.
