Baghdad:Iraq’s capital will continue to lead the nation’s construction, reconstruction, and development initiatives, as stated by Baghdad Mayor Ammar Musa Kadhim on Wednesday.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Kadhim expressed his sentiments on National Sovereignty Day, extending congratulations to the people of Iraq. He emphasized the importance of this occasion in highlighting Iraq’s strides towards solidifying sovereignty, independent decision-making, and a state governed by institutions and the rule of law.

Kadhim also paid tribute to the sacrifices of Iraq’s martyrs and the courage of its security forces, reiterating the commitment to maintain Baghdad’s leading role in the country’s developmental efforts. He underscored the Baghdad Mayoralty’s duty to enhance the capital’s urban landscape and service quality, reflecting the city’s national and historical significance.
