Iraqi Media Network Celebrates Sovereignty Day with Ceremony


Baghdad:The Iraqi Media Network held a ceremony to commemorate Sovereignty Day, attended by prominent figures including Iraqi Media Network Chairman Karim Hamadi and Chairman of the Network’s Board of Trustees Thaer al-Ghanimi, along with board members and employees from various departments.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Thaer al-Ghanimi highlighted Iraq’s progress in taking charge of its security with well-developed forces capable of protecting its borders, waters, and airspace. He praised the efforts of multiple security forces, including the army, police, Popular Mobilization Forces, Peshmerga, and others, in achieving this milestone. Al-Ghanimi emphasized that the day marks a significant achievement in Iraq’s history, resulting from the sacrifices and unity of its people.

Al-Ghanimi also recognized the role of the Iraqi Media Network in reinforcing national identity and supporting Iraq’s self-governance. He noted the Network’s extensive preparations across its various platforms to cover the day’s cele
brations, which included the handover and withdrawal activities of the International Coalition forces.

Karim Hamadi expressed gratitude to everyone involved in making Sovereignty Day possible and assured that the Network’s efforts would continue beyond this event. He mentioned the Network’s ongoing commitment to covering the achievements of the Iraqi people and future developments in sectors such as economy, tourism, and youth.

Hamadi concluded by acknowledging the hard work of the Iraqi Media Network staff in preparing for the coverage of Sovereignty Day, which began on September 1, and thanked all contributors to this significant moment.
