Baghdad:Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi and Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, head of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, have emphasized the need for strengthening stability and consolidating state sovereignty in Iraq, focusing on protecting national interests.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussion took place during a meeting where al-Halbousi hosted al-Sudani. They reviewed the overall situation in the country, with particular attention to developments on the political and security fronts.
The two leaders highlighted the significance of enhancing stability and preserving sovereignty, especially as Iraq enters a new phase of relationships with international coalition countries. This new phase is characterized by cooperation and coordination, aiming to safeguard Iraq’s sovereignty and national decision-making.
Additionally, they expressed their support for the government’s program implementation and underscored the importance of completing the cabinet.
