Baghdad:Engineer Faisal Hammadi Ramadan, Director General of the North Oil Company, inaugurated the IT1 unloading station, which boasts a capacity of 100,000 barrels per day and can handle approximately 450 to 500 tanker trucks daily.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the new station is a part of efforts to develop oil infrastructure and improve the efficiency of the northern export system. It aims to increase export volumes to the Turkish port of Ceyhan through the Iraq-Turkey Pipeline by enhancing operational capabilities and providing more flexibility in handling crude oil.
The IT1 station plays a crucial role in supporting the oil system due to its capacity to manage large volumes of crude oil and accommodate an increasing number of tanker trucks. Its operation strengthens integration among production, gathering, and transport facilities, ensuring a sustained flow of crude oil within the northern system.
The inauguration of the station represents a significant advancement in the development of oil facilities and infrastructure, supporting plans to boost the efficiency of the northern system, achieve optimal operational performance, and enhance export capacity.
