Baghdad:A new shipment of cash dollars has arrived in Iraq, according to government spokesperson Haider Al-Aboudi. This delivery is part of ongoing agreements with the United States to ensure that Iraq’s foreign currency needs are consistently met.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Aboudi confirmed the arrival of the shipment, which took place on Wednesday. He emphasized that this development is crucial for maintaining the flow of foreign currency under the agreed policies.
Previously, Al-Aboudi stated that Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi had reached understandings with the United States to continue these shipments, aiding in satisfying legitimate foreign currency requirements. These understandings align with Iraq’s efforts to enhance oversight of dollar distribution, regulate currency use, minimize misuse, expand electronic payments, and shift gradually towards a digital economy.
