Washington:US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced on Saturday the facilitation of the passage of 1.1 billion barrels of oil through the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Bessent stated that this operation took place while Iran was unable to transport any oil.

He further highlighted that, for the first time since Iran began exporting oil, there will be no Iranian oil transported by sea this week. Bessent emphasized that the US is isolating Iran to an unprecedented degree.
