Accra:The President of the Republic emphasized today that Sovereignty Day holds great significance in Iraq’s history, noting that the late President Mam Jalal Talabani was uniquely qualified to propose appropriate solutions to political disputes.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the President made these remarks at a memorial ceremony marking the ninth anniversary of former President Jalal Talabani’s passing. He highlighted the collective pride in the legacy left by Mam Jalal Talabani, describing his experience and path as truly great.

The President underscored Mam Jalal’s wisdom, which prioritized peace over violence, emphasizing that he was the figure best suited to offer solutions to political disagreements. The President concluded by recalling the late President’s prominent role in championing dialogue in the face of challenges.
