Iraq Commemorates National Day, Emphasizing Independence and Future Prosperity

Accra:Iraqis commemorate National Day, reflecting on the country’s independence and its historic admission to the League of Nations in 1932. This occasion serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by the nation’s people and martyrs, while also offering an opportunity to renew pride in Iraq’s history and identity. It reaffirms a commitment to enhancing security, stability, and development to build a more prosperous future for the country.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Minister of Electricity Ali Saadi Waheeb congratulated the Iraqi people on National Day, highlighting the sacrifices of Iraq’s martyrs, particularly those from the Ministry of Electricity. Waheeb stated that the occasion reinforces pride in Iraq’s history and strengthens the resolve to continue efforts and resource management to serve citizens and support national development.

He also expressed gratitude to all Ministry of Electricity employees for their work, calling for continued dedication and improved services for citizens.

Additionally, the Communications and Media Commission (CMC) extended its congratulations to the Iraqi people on this occasion. The CMC emphasized the significance of National Day in remembering the milestones that have shaped Iraq’s journey as a state, while wishing for continued security, stability, and prosperity for Iraq and its people.
