Baghdad:The Iraq International Information and Communication Technology (ITEX) exhibition and conference concluded at the Baghdad International Fairgrounds, highlighting its role in enhancing cooperation between government institutions and the private sector.
According to Iraqi News Agency, the event facilitated the introduction of new technological solutions and ideas that support digital transformation, while also promoting awareness of financial services and securities trading. Ghufran Nabil from the Iraqi National Bank remarked that the exhibition enabled the bank to discover previously unknown services and foster connections with other participating banks and entities.
The exhibition also provided a platform for the bank to engage with citizens, answering inquiries related to loans, projects, account services, and the bank’s mobile application. Nabil encouraged citizens to attend such events to gain diverse insights that might benefit them beyond their immediate fields of expertise.
Hassan Ahmed of the Securities Commission’s Financial Disclosure Department emphasized the exhibition’s role in spreading a culture of securities trading among the younger generation. He noted that the event prompted several companies to contact the Commission regarding listing, thereby contributing to the development of the securities market.
Engineer Nizar Mohammed Saeed, Director of the Information and Communications Center at the Ministry of Education, underscored the significance of the Ministry’s participation, highlighting its commitment to digital transformation and electronic service provision. The exhibition facilitated partnerships between local, Arab companies, and government entities, especially in infrastructure and electronic services development.
Overall, the ITEX exhibition provided valuable opportunities to strengthen partnerships and improve service delivery through enhanced cooperation between government bodies and the private sector.
