Kyiv:Russian forces conducted an intense overnight strike on Ukrainian military-industrial facilities involved in the production of cruise missiles and drones, targeting several regions including the capital, Kyiv.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that high-precision weapons were used in the attack, hitting facilities operated by the “Fire Point” company. These facilities were responsible for manufacturing and storing “Flamingo” cruise missiles, along with long- and medium-range drones, and were located in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, and Kharkiv.
The statement also noted that the strike extended to port and ship-repair infrastructure in the Odesa region, targeting vessels utilized by the Ukrainian military.
Furthermore, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that its air defenses successfully shot down 311 Ukrainian drones across 17 Russian regions, as well as above the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, during the same period.
