Basra Crude Prices Fall Amidst Global Oil Price Increase


Basra:Prices for Basra crude grades fell in global markets today, despite a rise in other global oil prices.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the price of Basra Heavy crude decreased by 1.46%, settling at $67.34 per barrel. Basra Medium crude also saw a decline of 1.40%, reaching $70.64 per barrel.



Meanwhile, Brent crude futures increased by 93 cents, or 0.92%, to $101.51 per barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude also rose by 82 cents, or 0.92%, hitting $90.25 per barrel. The market is currently balancing supply constraints due to a storm threatening U.S. oil-producing regions with increased crude supplies from the Middle East, amidst ongoing tensions.
