Ramadi:The Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Public Municipalities has announced that the overland Hajj route project, which connects Ramadi to the Nukhaib sub-district, is set to launch soon following the completion of a field survey of the route.
According to Iraqi News Agency, Wissam Riad Mahmoud, Director of Roads and Bridges in Anbar, stated that the project is close to implementation and emphasized its strategic importance to Anbar Governorate due to its developmental, economic, and security implications.
The field survey was directed by Anbar Governor Omar Mishaan Dabbous after his inspection of the route and included participation from the Deputy Governor for Technical Affairs and an Anbar Provincial Council member who chairs the Services Committee. Teams from the Anbar Roads and Bridges Directorate, along with security forces from the Anbar Operations Command and the 10th Division, have completed the survey needed for the road’s construction, including additional work at the 70-kilometer mark, reaching up to the Nukhayb sub-district.
