Tuz Khurmatu:The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) reported the arrest of a suspect accused of belonging to the banned Baath Party in the Tuz Khurmatu district.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the arrest was executed by the intelligence unit of the PMF’s 63rd Brigade, in collaboration with the PMF Intelligence Directorate’s Northern and East Tigris Intelligence Department. The suspect’s arrest is in accordance with Article 9 of the law prohibiting the Baath Party.

The operation was authorized by an arrest warrant from the First Karkh Investigation Court and was the culmination of over three months of intelligence surveillance.
