Israeli Airstrikes Hit Southern Lebanon

Baghdad:Southern Lebanon: Israeli warplanes conducted airstrikes on areas in southern Lebanon early Wednesday morning, specifically targeting the Wadi al-Salouqi area in the Bint Jbeil district.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the attacks are part of ongoing Israeli military actions across various parts of southern Lebanon. There were no immediate reports on casualties or the extent of the damage caused by the strikes.

The strikes also targeted areas between the towns of Baraachit and Aitaroun, with artillery shelling reported in other locations. The ongoing conflict occurs within the context of a “framework agreement” concluded on June 26 in Washington between Lebanon and Israel, which requires the Lebanese Army to reestablish its authority in the south contingent upon the disarmament of Hezbollah, starting with specified “pilot areas” from which the Israeli army is to withdraw.
