Al-Hakim Highlights Kirkuk’s Role as a Symbol of Coexistence in Iraq


Kirkuk:Head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, emphasized that Kirkuk stands as a source of pride for Iraqis, celebrated for its spirit of coexistence.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Hakim made these remarks at a press conference after meeting with the local government of Kirkuk Governorate. He expressed his pleasure in visiting the city during the celebrations of Sovereignty Day and National Day, underscoring Kirkuk’s importance due to its diverse and integrated community. Al-Hakim praised the rotation of roles within the governorate’s administration, considering it a testament to coexistence and integration.



He acknowledged the efforts in delivering public services in Kirkuk, highlighting the city’s development rates and poverty levels. Al-Hakim called on the people of Kirkuk to embrace their diversity, viewing it as a symbol of coexistence, and stressed that Kirkuk’s success is a success for all of Iraq. He also referred to the historical relationship between the family of Imam Al-Hakim and the tribes of Kirkuk Governorate.



Al-Hakim described Kirkuk as a stabilizing force in Iraq and expressed optimism for significant development in the city and other governorates, supported by budget indicators and allocated support.
