Accra:Minister of Interior Yasser Al-Maliki affirmed that efforts will be redoubled to consolidate security and stability, strengthen the rule of law, protect citizens, and safeguard their rights and freedoms.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Al-Maliki expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Prime Minister, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, as well as the Speaker of the Council of Representatives, his deputies, and the members of the Council for the trust they have placed in him. He emphasized that this represents a significant national responsibility and a sacred trust that demands dedicated and sincere service.

Al-Maliki highlighted the importance of developing the security establishment and enhancing its performance to meet the aspirations of the Iraqi people. He stressed that Iraq’s interests, security, and stability will remain above all other considerations.
