Baghdad:Minister of Trade Mustafa Nizar Al-Ani emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation with Swiss companies, highlighting their expertise and technological capabilities as crucial for implementing strategic projects in Iraq.

According to Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Ministry of Trade noted that Minister Al-Ani has invited the Swiss electromechanical engineering company Bhler to visit Iraq. He encouraged Swiss firms to strengthen their presence in the Iraqi market, focusing on the construction of grain silos and the development of strategic grain storage systems, while exploring potential investment opportunities.

Al-Ani also extended an invitation to Swiss companies to participate in the 50th edition of the Baghdad International Fair in 2027. This event is seen as a platform for examining investment and commercial opportunities in Iraq, discussing partnerships with both public and private sectors, and enhancing trade exchange and economic relations between Iraq and Switzerland.

The invitation aligns with the Ministry of Trade’s strategic aim to attract international companies, expand investment areas, and utilize international exhibitions for fostering corporate engagement and economic partnerships.
