Accra:The Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Haibat al-Halbousi, expressed his support to the Interior Minister, Yasser al-Maliki, for the Ministry’s initiatives aimed at enhancing security and institutional performance. This support focuses on strengthening security and stability, upholding the rule of law, and ensuring the safety of citizens.

According to Iraqi News Agency, al-Halbousi met with the newly appointed Minister of Interior, Yasser al-Maliki, where they discussed the Ministry’s work and priorities. The meeting also explored ways to bolster the Ministry’s capabilities and improve its performance in the near future.

During the discussions, the Speaker reiterated his commitment to supporting the Ministry’s objectives of enhancing security measures, reinforcing stability, consolidating the rule of law, and protecting citizens’ security.
