Accra:Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zaidi received a businessman who reported corruption involving a Deputy Minister of Industry currently accused of accepting bribes. The meeting took place on Sunday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Zaidi praised the businessman’s courage and sense of responsibility, highlighting his decision to prioritize the nation’s interests by coming forward. The Prime Minister described him as a true servant of the state and assured that he and his family would receive full protection.

Al-Zaidi encouraged other businesspeople to emulate this example by reporting any instances of extortion by corrupt officials, thereby allowing for legal action to be pursued.

At the end of the meeting, the Prime Minister honored the businessman for his courageous action and dedication to national duty in exposing corruption.
