Accra:Speaker of the House of Representatives Heibat al-Halbousi held discussions with the Minister of Culture, Yassin al-Aithawi, and the Minister of Tourism, Ali Abdul-Hadi al-Dakhili, focusing on advancing the cultural sector and enhancing the tourism industry in Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting with Minister of Culture Yassin Al-Aithawi involved discussions on improving services for the cultural community and reviewing the Ministry’s plans to support programs and initiatives aimed at revitalizing cultural activities. Al-Halbousi stressed the significance of supporting the Ministry’s efforts to preserve Iraq’s cultural and civilizational heritage and to strengthen national identity.

In a separate meeting with Minister of Tourism Ali Abdul-Hadi Al-Dakhili, the discussions centered on the current state and future plans for the tourism sector. Emphasis was placed on the necessity of developing infrastructure and related services to revitalize tourism. The preservation and maintenance of archaeological and heritage sites were also highlighted as crucial for safeguarding Iraq’s cultural legacy.
