Diwaniyah: The Diwaniyah Narcotics Affairs Directorate has successfully arrested a drug dealer and thwarted his attempt to smuggle a significant quantity of drugs during a special security operation. The operation resulted in the seizure of 3 kg of illegal substances, believed to be crystal meth.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Diwaniyah Police Command stated that the arrest was made possible through information gathered from private sources and extensive intelligence efforts. These efforts led to the identification and arrest of the accused drug dealer, who was found in possession of the substantial quantity of drugs. The operation effectively prevented the smuggling of these drugs into the governorate.

The police command further noted that all necessary legal measures have been taken against the suspect to ensure that justice is served. This arrest marks a significant success in the ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region.
