Anbar: The Military Intelligence Directorate announced the arrest of a drug-trafficking gang in Anbar Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the gang, consisting of four individuals, was apprehended in a well-planned ambush in al-Qaim district, west of Anbar. This operation was executed based on precise information from the Intelligence Branch of the 7th Division and involved the participation of the security forces responsible for the sector.

The directorate explained that the gang members were engaged in trading and promoting drugs and contraband across various areas of Anbar Governorate. During the arrest, authorities seized light weapons, narcotics, and prohibited substances from the gang. The individuals have been referred to the competent authorities for further action.
