Karbala: The holy city of Karbala has been experiencing a severe fuel shortage for several days, resulting in traffic congestion and long queues of vehicles stretching for considerable distances in front of filling stations. Most stations have closed their doors amidst accusations of an artificially created crisis.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, these bottlenecks have had a direct impact on daily transportation, forcing some drivers to abandon their cars and resort to motorcycles to avoid the long lines. Taxi fares have also risen significantly due to the fuel shortage.

This crisis has cast a heavy shadow over the vital and main streets within the province, prompting residents and those affected to demand urgent and decisive intervention from government and relevant authorities to uncover the reasons behind the recurring crisis.
