Babylon: Security forces arrested a suspect in Babylon for trafficking antiquities. Director of the Organized Crime Unit in Babylon, Colonel Yasser Salim Witwit, stated: “The suspect was apprehended in the act, in a well-planned ambush, based on accurate and confirmed intelligence.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the suspect was born in 1978 and resides in Basra Governorate. Nine coins suspected of being antiquities or heritage items were found in his possession and have been confiscated for forensic examination by the relevant authorities.
