Baghdad: Ammar Al-Hakim, Head of the National State Forces Alliance, engaged in discussions with Shaswar Abdul Wahid, Head of the New Generation Movement, focusing on the recent political developments and the upcoming national milestones amid the ongoing challenges facing Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting took place at his Baghdad office and concentrated on the current political situation and the forthcoming national obligations against the backdrop of Iraq’s persistent challenges.

During their discussions, Al-Hakim emphasized the necessity for unity among Iraq’s political forces, highlighting that such cohesion is essential for serving the interests of the Iraqi populace and fostering political and social stability. He underscored the importance of finalizing the remaining positions of the three presidencies and respecting constitutional timelines. Furthermore, Al-Hakim called for the activation of the Iraqi Parliament’s legislative and oversight roles, considering them fundamental to state-building and the reinforcement of the democratic process.
