Baghdad: Acting Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities, Sarwa Abdul Wahid, engaged in discussions about the preparations for the second edition of the International Tourism and Artistic Creativity Festival, which is being organized by the Iraqi Tourism Syndicate in Baghdad.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting took place on Sunday and included the participation of Qasim Al-Sudani, the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Technical Affairs. The Ministry revealed in a press release that the gathering involved key figures such as the head of the Iraqi Tourism Syndicate, Dr. Muhammad Awda Al-Ubaidi, syndicate member and director Wael Zakaria, and Dr. Afraa Al-Khatib.

The discussions during the meeting focused on various visions and proposals aimed at enhancing the tourism sector in Iraq, with a particular emphasis on archaeology and tourism. The goal is to strengthen the presence of tourism and cultural sectors within the country. Additionally, the meeting addressed academic aspects related to tourism, including discussions on the output from tourism colleges and the potential to utilize their skills to supply the labor market with specialized talent.
