Baghdad: The Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Abdul Hussein Al-Moussawi, mourned the passing of former Minister Sami Al-Mudhaffar on Thursday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry released a statement expressing sorrow over the death of Sami Al-Mudhaffar, highlighting his distinguished academic, scientific, and administrative career dedicated to serving higher education and scientific research in Iraq. The statement emphasized the significant efforts and contributions of the former minister to educational and academic institutions during his career.

The ministry’s statement further conveyed Minister Abdul Hussein Al-Moussawi’s deepest condolences and sympathies to the family, relatives, colleagues, and friends of the deceased. The minister asked for divine mercy for Sami Al-Mudhaffar, hoping for his admittance to Paradise and for patience and solace to be granted to his family and loved ones.
