Baghdad: The Ministry of Higher Education announced that Minister Abdul Hussein Al-Moussawi is personally following up on the salary issue and affirms that it will be resolved soon. In a statement, the Ministry reassured its academic, administrative, and technical staff in universities, educational institutions, and all affiliated bodies regarding the delayed salary payments. The Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Hussein Al-Moussawi, is personally and directly handling this matter and is coordinating intensively and continuously with the Minister of Finance and relevant authorities to ensure the completion of the necessary technical and financial procedures for releasing the outstanding amounts. He has placed the entitlements of all Ministry employees and staff at the forefront of his priorities, believing in their leading and national role and keen on maintaining a stable academic and university work environment.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the statement clarified that "all procedures are moving towards resolution, and salaries will be secured and released within the next few days, God willing." In this regard, the Minister commended all the dedicated efforts and affirmed the Ministry's continued commitment, with all its senior staff, to diligently serving the public interest and safeguarding the rights of all its employees.
