Adel Al-Yassiri Begins Leadership Role at National Investment Commission

Baghdad: Adel Al-Yassiri has officially taken on his responsibilities as the Chairman of the National Investment Commission, signaling a forthcoming transformation in how investment initiatives are managed in Iraq. This aligns with the government's strategic goals to enhance the business environment and attract more investments into the country.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Yassiri highlighted that the near future will see significant changes in the handling of investment files across Iraq. His leadership comes at a crucial time as the government intensifies efforts to invigorate the investment sector. These efforts include diversifying income sources, supporting private sector growth, forming partnerships with investors, and reducing the country's dependency on oil revenues. These initiatives are part of a broader economic reform agenda set by the government.

The Council of Ministers had earlier approved Adel Al-Yassiri's appointment as Chairman, replacing Haider Mohammed Makkiya. This decision is part of a larger scheme of administrative adjustments affecting several government entities, with the intention of restructuring key executive roles to boost institutional efficacy.
