Baghdad: The Administrative Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Mahdi Suhr al-Jubouri, met with a group of farmers today to address their demands for the disbursement of financial dues. During the meeting, Dr. al-Jubouri listened to the farmers’ concerns directly, emphasizing that their dues for the agricultural season are a top priority for the Ministry.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Dr. al-Jubouri assured the farmers of the Ministry’s commitment to safeguarding their financial interests. He explained that the Ministry has initiated efforts to ensure financial liquidity by lending to seed companies, including the Mesopotamia General Company for Seeds, the Iraqi Company for Seed Production, and the Agricultural Research Center. This initiative aims to facilitate the payment of producers’ dues for the 2025-2026 agricultural season.
In response, the farmers’ representatives outlined the significant demands and challenges they are currently facing. They expressed their hopes for comprehensive solutions that would ensure the complete fulfillment of their rights, reflecting their trust in the Ministry’s efforts to address their concerns effectively.
