Al-Abbasi Holy Shrine Announces Over 21 Million Pilgrims Participate in Arbaeen Pilgrimage


Karbala: The Al-Abbasi Holy Shrine has reported a significant number of participants in this year’s Arbaeen pilgrimage, with a total of 21,103,524 pilgrims.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, this figure underscores the immense scale and significance of the annual event, which draws millions of people from around the world. The Arbaeen pilgrimage is one of the largest religious gatherings globally, taking place in Karbala, Iraq, to mark the end of the 40-day mourning period for the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad.



The announcement by the Abbasi Holy Shrine highlights the logistical efforts and coordination required to accommodate such a large influx of pilgrims.
