Baghdad: The Al-Ain Social Welfare Foundation, operating under the guidance of Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, has reported a significant increase in the number of orphans it supports, now totaling 110,241 across different Iraqi provinces.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, this growth in numbers follows the foundation’s strategic expansion into various Iraqi regions, including remote villages and desert areas. The initiative, named “The Month of Imam Hussein,” was launched during the Ashura commemorations in the months of Muharram and Safar, aiming to extend the foundation’s reach from the north to the south of the country. The foundation’s media office highlighted the success of this initiative in increasing the number of orphans under their care.
