Al-Amiri and Al-Hassan Discuss the Role of the United Nations in Iraq and the Region


Baghdad: Secretary-General of the Badr Organization Hadi Al-Amiri received today, Sunday, in his office in Baghdad, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Mohammed Al-Hassan. A statement by Al-Amiri’s office stated that during the meeting, the general conditions and political developments in the country and the existing cooperation between Iraq and the United Nations were discussed in a way that serves the national interest. The two sides also touched on developments in the region and the importance of the role of the United Nations in it.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Amiri and Al-Hassan’s discussions emphasized the need for continued collaboration between Iraq and the United Nations to address ongoing political challenges. The meeting highlighted the essential contributions of the United Nations in promoting stability and prosperity in Iraq and the broader region. The dialogue underscored the mutual commitment to strengthening this partnership in addressing regional issues effectively.
