Baghdad: Al-Araji, the Security Advisor to the Prime Minister, and MP Adila Hammoud Hussein al-Aboudi, Head of the Parliamentary Committee on Health, Drug Control, and Psychotropic Substances, have underscored the necessity of integrating legislative, executive, security, and health efforts to safeguard youth and society from drug-related issues.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Advisor’s office released a statement highlighting a meeting between the two officials. During this meeting, they discussed various mutual interests, with a primary focus on combating drugs and psychotropic substances. They emphasized the importance of enhancing coordination and cooperation among relevant authorities to protect society, reduce the spread of drugs, and bolster preventive and security measures.
The discussions further stressed the need for a cohesive approach involving legislative, executive, security, and health sectors to ensure stability and safeguard Iraqi youth and society from the dangers posed by drugs.
