Al-Araji Commends Security Forces After Casting Vote in Iraqi General Election


Baghdad: Iraqi National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji participated in the general election by casting his vote, emphasizing the significance of the democratic process in Iraq.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Araji expressed his commitment to strengthening Iraq’s democratic system and acknowledged the patience of the Iraqi people in his message. He stated, “We cast our votes in the general election for the 2025 parliamentary elections, the sixth session, to consolidate the democratic system in Iraq and to advance the country to higher levels that reward the patience of its people and lead it towards progress and prosperity.”



In addition to his remarks on democratic consolidation, Al-Araji praised the efforts of the Independent High Electoral Commission and the security forces. He highlighted the crucial role played by these entities in ensuring a secure electoral process, stating, “We commend the role of the Independent High Electoral Commission and our security forces in all their formations in securing the electoral process, along with all the institutions that contributed to holding this national event.”
