Baghdad: National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji met with Sheikh Azad Hamid Shafi, the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party's fifth branch in Baghdad, along with his delegation on Thursday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting involved discussions on the strong relations between Baghdad and Erbil. The parties highlighted the importance of prioritizing the nation's supreme interest and supporting the ongoing political process. They also emphasized the need to back the government program.

Al-Araji underscored the significance of continuous communication and reinforcing ties between Baghdad and the Kurdistan region. This approach aims to foster political convergence and integration, ultimately fortifying the country's stability.
