Baghdad: Head of the Progress Party, Speaker Mohammed al-Halbousi, received Jordanian Parliament Speaker Ahmed al-Safadi and his accompanying delegation on Thursday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and enhancing joint cooperation in a number of areas, including security, economic, and investment, and activating transportation lines, in a manner that serves common interests.

The meeting highlighted the importance of continuing coordination at all parliamentary and executive levels to unify visions and positions in international and regional forums, adopt common issues, including the Palestinian cause, and affirm the supportive stance of Iraq and Jordan.
