Baghdad: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities for Cultural Affairs, Dr. Fadhil Al-Badrani, has expressed his condolences following the passing of renowned musician and artist Farouk Hilal, who died yesterday at the age of 91. Dr. Al-Badrani highlighted that Hilal has left behind an enduring artistic legacy.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in his telegram of condolence, Dr. Al-Badrani stated, “With hearts believing in God’s will and decree, and with profound sorrow and grief, we extend our deepest condolences and sincere sympathies on the passing of the great Iraqi artist and musician Farouk Hilal, after a career brimming with contributions and creativity.”

The Undersecretary recognized Hilal’s significant contributions to Iraqi song and music, noting that his artistic legacy will remain in the memory of future generations. Dr. Al-Badrani emphasized the impact of Hilal’s work on Iraqi culture and the nation’s artistic heritage.
